Not again...

Quote from Anchorage Volcanoe Observatory..."The eruption of Redoubt continues. Seismic activity remains elevated and largely unchanged over the last 2 hours. The volcano is visible in this morning's netcam images. There are a couple secondary steam plumes visible in the drainage immediately below the dome. These likely result from hot lava blocks shed during rockfalls off the new dome. An explosive event could occur at any time with little warning."
Really?? AGAIN??? Didn't we have enough of this in the last couple months? I'm ready for sunny and clear summer days here in ANC. Anyway, here's a shot of the Mt. today..kinda cool..but not if it blows.
This afternoon I get the once in a lifetime opportunity to go out to Red Dog. It's the biggest Zinc mine in the world and it's up near Kotzebue (Northwest corner of AK). There is nothing out there except the mine and workers. I have to fingerprint 6 people but the fact is that people just don't GET to go there. You only go there if you're working. What happens if the Mt. blows and I get stuck out there????????????
