So, you're asking yourself "What in the heck is a Lederhosen"?? Well, funny you
ask...We went to Leavenworth weekend before last with Sandy and Bruce. What an
amazing, fun day. We started on the road about 9am, got our latte's and headed
East. We stopped at Snoqualmie Falls (Rich had never seen) and had breakfast in
North Bend before we arrived in Leavenworth..the Bavarian dream town. We went
through all the fun shops, did some wine tasting, ate some German dogs (minus
the sauerkraut), and my favorite, visited the hat shop and tried on 4 million
different hats as you can see...did I mention the old fashioned picture?? Oh
YEAH...we did it, don't judge us. All four of us got completely decked out in
Bavarian gear and had our picture done. I never laughed so hard. Rich looks
like he belongs in this attire, Bruce wouldn't stop laughing which made me
laugh harder, Sandy was just as precious as could be in her outfit, and
me...well, the boots didn't fit over my calves..that's really super eh? Story
of my life...
Anyway, we had way too much fun for 4 grown adults. We headed back that night
and just when you think the fun is over..it only gets better! We went to "Rock
n' Bowl" with some more friends. We bowled from 11pm to about 2am. I hate to
say it, but Rich and I (Team Alaska as we renamed ourselves), won all three
games. I love to win. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I've always been competitive
and now I have someone who is just as competitive in sports as me..perfect. The
next day we had a great pancake breakfast and went and watched Toy Story 3
before heading back home. It was such a great weekend, thanks again B and S!!
Love you guys!
