Three days of going, going, and more going...and I'm exhausted. Linds got here
Friday night and her, Rich, and I went to dinner where we laughed for about two
hours. I'm pretty sure I laughed off the food I ate that night. Saturday
morning we got up and went to breakfast with some friends. The friends we met
up with were also out of town so they hadn't seen some sights. We went up to
Flattop Mountain to see the view and went to some other sight seeing places. We
took a nap that afternoon so we could rejuvenate for the evening hours. We then
headed for "Crush", this cute little wine place that has some fun food to go
with your wine. We were there for hours laughing it up and then walked over to
the ice sculptures where we almost slipped and cracked our heads open..nice.
Sunday, we went snowboarding with Rich and let me tell you...I'm pretty sure I
hear "OLYMPICS" in my future..Actually, the truth is that I did a lot better
than I did the first time but I still am not so excited about doing it
again..Here's the problem...it's a lot of work! Your legs burn so bad after
just a minute that you have to stop and fall over. You can stand or you'll go
down the hill. Then you get hot and sweaty from falling, standing, falling,
standing..not fun. The best part was falling so hard that I am positive I broke
one side of my butt...not the tail bone, the side butt bone. Rich said it's
something to do with the pelvic bone..SUPER. It hurt so bad that I could have
easily cried like a baby and gave up completely on snowboarding...but I'm not a
quitter..I have to conquer it first..so I continued to fall on it all the way
down...FANTASTIC. I now walk with a small limp and can have handicap parking
which is the good news.
Monday, we shopped, ate, went to a movie, ate some more, then watched more
movies,. and now she's gone. Sad I am, yes I am. I had a great time, it was
just too short. The best part of the whole thing was the last night I took
dinner to Rich at the fire station and he says to me "Is Lindsey coming in? I
want the guys to see how crazy she is..." That's my best friend...
