Happy Birthday...FIDO

Alright...I love dogs, I do. I REALLY love cats. I had this amazing cat that
most of you know, Simon. He was the coolest cat ever and I'll never forget that
even friends/family I had that didn't particularly "like" cats, liked him. He
was a top notch, wonder cat and I loved him more than I've loved most people
through my life. With that being said...I can honestly say, we never had a
birthday party for him, nor would I ever. I have a few friends who love their
dogs so much that they DO have birthday parties for their pets. I chose to
debut those for you here on my blog because just recently, there have been two
of these...celebrations. As funny and WEIRD as I think it is, the pictures are
too cute not to share. Let me first introduce you to Mister. My friend Tiffany
got this little pomeranian awhile back and it has become her baby. When I first
met him, I couldn't believe she named him Mister. I told her I was renaming
him...and so while I was there, I tried several names to see what he responded
to best. We decided on Aslan. Aslan is the lion from Chronicles of Narnia and
if you look at this little fur ball, you'll quickly see why it's so fitting.
Although Tiff stuck to Mister, he'll always be Aslan to me..and it always gets
a good belly laugh out of her when I say it. Next up on the podium is Flower.
Flower was named long before my presence in her life but I think by the
pictures I've seen, it fits her. My friend Bethany is her momma and clearly a
proud one. Flower just received a new friend that is a giant stuffed
flea...stitched on that flea it says "Bite Me". Both dogs had quite the
celebrations for their birthdays and as you can see, both had the pleasure of
wearing hats. Pupcakes, Pupperoni Pizza...my friends...what can I say?
