Camping, Fishing...and a Rash??

Ok, so weird title right? Well, here's the story...

Last friday night, my buddy Mark from work flew up from Seattle for a fun filled camping/fishing trip that several coworkers had planned. There was to be about 18-20 of us. It was Patty, Jenny, Mark, and I in the car and we were ready for the outdoors! We went to a place I went last year up North near Talkeetna, about 2 hours away. Now, let me just take a moment to say that I know I'm not the most patient person in the world. But I am certain that God purposely puts the SLOWEST moving people in my life sometimes. We had to stop at the grocery store on the way up there. Now, the purpose was for a few snacky things, nothing too extensive or involved. The closest thing I can compare this experience to was when I had to take Andrew and Alivia (BFF's kids this summer in AK visiting me) to the superwalmart getting food for a week. OUT OF MY MIND??? YES....
Ok, so moving on...we finally get to the camping spot at 10pm, set up (IN THE RAIN) and sit by the fire (UNDER TARPS THAT WEREN'T LINED UP AND WERE LEAKING TERRIBLY). You're jealous aren't you? I know..
My sweet friend Patty broke out this hat that for lack of a better explanation, I can only describe as the hat that went missing from Gillagan's island. We all tried it on and laughed hysterically as you will see in the pictures...Patty didn't find it near as amusing.
Even though it was wet, it was still fun being with friends and out camping I have to say. We woke up the next morning and drove about 10 minutes to this fishing spot Andrew loves. Andrew is my coworker whom I have known for years since we worked together down in Seattle at the Mileage Plan. He has a heart of gold. Having said that..I will also say that I am convinced after this trip he has Adult ADD and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). That's enough to make you want to jump off a cliff at times, just for the record.
So, we hike 2 miles in to the fishing hole and fish ALL DAY. I snagged the first fish so I couldn't keep it but hey, it's a catch right! I had to get a picture just the same. Limit was 2, I caught 4 (including the snag). Yes, it's illegal but not everybody caught their limit so I was just helping the others...OBVIOUSLY! After we spent all day out there, we headed into Talkeetna for some hot pizza. This is the kind of town that you can walk into any business in your full gear waders and nobody even notices. I love towns like that.

We headed home that night because honestly, we were cold, wet, and tired. Crawling into a sleeping bag didn't sound near as inviting as my own warm bed back home.
Sunday when I woke up, I realize....I have this HORRIBLE rash all over my body and a fat upper lip! WHAT THE HECK!?!? I was certain I got into some plant on our hike that I was having a reaction to. I went and got some benadryl and took a nap. When I woke up, I had the chills, my face was burning hot and the rash was worse. Well, Mark was still here and we had plans to go have dinner at Patty's that night and I didn't want to ruin that so we headed over. I progressively got worse through the evening to the point that I could barely walk and was so delirious, I barely knew where I was. The next morning I went to the Dr. and I am allergic to the meds I was taking for the MRSA infection I had a week prior. SIGH......I know what you're thinking..I sound like a walking infection! I know! Well, I'm all better and feeling 100% once again. I only wished I took pictures of the pretty rash so I could show you. Alas, I only have camping and fishing to share.
