So the first time my sister came up to see me in AK was two years ago in the middle of winter and I was sick as a dog with bronchitis and the flu. Can you say super fun times??? NOT. Well, I finally get her to come back up and this time was gonna be different. We shopped ANC and saw every gift shop in town...so much so that after the third one I was ready to shoot myself in the face. Then we went on this awesome bike ride that rides along Eklutna Lake and goes 12 miles back to the glacier...is this for real?? Finally we hit the road for Homer, the cutest town on earth on the penninsula. We stayed in the most amazing place right on the water, ate like queens, and had the time of our lives. It was good to be together and laugh til we peed our pants...or she did anyway. Along the way we saw 7 moose, two brand new baby moose, and then for the finale, a big ol' black bear came sauntering down the path way as we were watching the sunset. That was a big pee your pants moment. It's trips like this that mask my young memories of her beating me with a wooden spoon and pulling my hair like I was some horrible stepchild...she was just jealous..and as cute as I was, I don't blame her...
My life is full of stories that my friends love for me to share and usually are hysterical at my expense. But hey..whatever it takes to make people laugh right? My life has been nothing short of a good adventurous book that at times you can't put down, good laughs, tears, and so much more. I live up in the great North where the saying "the odds are good, but the goods are odd" rings too true. I came from the Seattle area where I have lived most of my life and while there is a vast difference between the two, there is a serenity I find here that I have never had back home. I love my family deeply, love friends ferociously, and love God more than words can describe. Welcome to my blog..happy reading friends..
