It's an addiction....

I have come to learn that everytime I go to a store that has plants...I am naturally sucked in the direction of them. It's like a force field that I cannot resist. Last year was my first year to have my own flowers, hanging baskets and such...I instantly had a love affair with my baskets and when it was time to take them down and let them die...it was like killing a cute puppy. It was actually sad! I know...what have I become? I'm like Martha...always cooking, tending the garden...next I'll be making our own clothes...NOT.
Well, anyway...here is it almost summer and Anchorage is starting to bloom. I have been hardly able to wait to pick up flowers for this year. Today I picked up my last two baskets and can I just tell you, they are Mona Lisa of baskets. I'm sick with envy...of myself. I should also give mention to the fact that not only have I now become a hanging basket owner, but I bought the wine barrels this year to pot my own...that will be my new challenge this year. I wont plant them until a couple weeks but you can see from the pic all the fillers...barely starting to get buds on them yet. They still come in at night and are getting adjusted but let the love affair begin...
