This last weekend we took Rich's dad down to Seattle where he hasn't been in 204 years. He's always talking about when he used to visit there and how much he would love to go again. So, up and away we went...with the intention of doing just what he wanted to do. Antique shopping is his favorite. Keep in mind, this is a man who has at least 13 of EVERYTHING in his house, which I call the Randlett museum. It's nothing short of that, trust me. Anyway, we did just that...for three days straight. I would like to compare this to shopping at a young age in the fabric store with my mom...for hours. Or another good comparison would be reading about politics...SHOOT ME...put me out of my misery. The sacrafice was worth it though, he had a great time. Some of the highlights were free breakfast at the hotel, seeing Sandy and Bruce, seeing my family, and then of course...going to bed at the end of the day. What I can tell you is that Antique stores are the top 5 places I never want to go again in my life.
My life is full of stories that my friends love for me to share and usually are hysterical at my expense. But hey..whatever it takes to make people laugh right? My life has been nothing short of a good adventurous book that at times you can't put down, good laughs, tears, and so much more. I live up in the great North where the saying "the odds are good, but the goods are odd" rings too true. I came from the Seattle area where I have lived most of my life and while there is a vast difference between the two, there is a serenity I find here that I have never had back home. I love my family deeply, love friends ferociously, and love God more than words can describe. Welcome to my blog..happy reading friends..
