East Coast Livin...

I just got back from a great vacation on the East Coast. My friend Megan had tickets to the Dave Matthews Concert and she knew we would have a great time together, so off I went. When I first got there, it was 45 degrees and raining...YUCK. Then, I guess I brought the sunshine cause it turned from 45 to 80 for the next few days. I spent the whole time in Flip Flops and it was like heaven. (Side note, I have a small love affair with flip flops and would be perfectly content living in them forever) We went through the Museums and after the first one (Natural History-Animals) with 989,187,102 kids, I thought I might shoot myself in the face. We quickly left there and went to the other ones that would only have half that amount of kids. Don't get me wrong, I love kids...but that many would make anyone want to jump out of a 45 story building face first.
After walking all day and seeing everything we possibly could in that amount of time, we found a great little patio restaurant and had a seat and laughed for a good hour enjoying the sunset.
Megs is a total foodie like me so cooking exotic and crazy things is something we always talk about and look forward to when we're together. Always planning the next amazing meal...
The concert was actually about 2 1/2 hours south of DC in Virginia. A little town called Charlottesville. This is where Thomas Jefferson lived and it is absolutely breath taking out there. The drive was awesome and I didn't care about a thing as my head hung out the window like a happy dog.
We stopped along the way to see different sights and take pictures, went to the concert, and then camped out in the back of her SUV at a KOA campground in the middle of NOWHERE...I love to camp more than anything else so all this did was tease me and make me starve for more. We headed back to DC and just enjoyed the rest of the time hanging out on the terrace roof catching some sun, getting bit by her cat Tigit, making more awesome food, and walking through town. Here's a little book of my trip..the only thing that would have made this better is if it had been longer...love you Megs!
