Saturday morning (late morning)I ended up meeeting some friends at this chinese bakery called "Charlie's". The food is amazing and if I could go there every week I would...That afternoon I had committed to going to what I though was a "Home Party"...but NO, it was a facial party...I'm not a huge fan of these sort of things but I made Karen go and I knew if she was with me, it would not let me down...
After the party Joe called and wanted to go flying in his Cessna. Beyond excited to go flying, Karen, Sandy, and I headed over. The scenery is the EXACT reason I am in love with Alaska.. These pictures do absolutely NO justice. The best part about this trip is the headphones and talking in them...don't ask me why but if you know me, you know I had a hay day with those. Karen in the meantime was trying not to puke...which made me laugh even harder...sorry K :)
Sunday after church I had this glorious nap that I can only describe as a slice of heaven...Naps have become like chocolate to me...essential.. I don't care that I sound like a senior citizen...I love them. After that wonderfulness, Travis picked me up where we went for ice cream and then to walk the Coastal Trail for a couple hours. The Coast Trail is one of my most favorite places here in Anchorage. It's the most popular trail here that goes along the water all through the city. People bike, walk, run, whatever...but there is ALWAYS moose on this trail. Tons of stories about moose running people off the trail or chasing them...makes it interesting and a little adrenaline rush eh??? We didn't see any though...just dogs and a bald eagle.

Side note....Today we had an earthquake while I was writing this and I'm pretty sure I peed in my pants....Volcanos, earthquakes...WHERE THE HECK DID I MOVE TO?!!?!? :)
