It sure seems that way after SEVEN weddings I've been in...Yes I said seven. I
guess I can't be too upset cause I do have this amazing freedom that all of my
married friends don't have. It has it's perks...I was the maid of honor for
Karen's wedding last weekend. It was such a perfect wedding and I think it was
even more than she could have hoped for. It seemed to sneak up so fast and with
all that I'd been doing this last couple months, I was not ready until the day
before. Typical ME I spose...So, funny story (not funny at the time)...The
Wednesday before I thought to myself "I should probably try my dress on that I
haven't tried"...Yeah..it didn't zip. It's not like one of those "suck it in"
or "girdle fixes" situations either..it plain DID NOT zip. AWESOME.I panicked.
All of the sudden I felt like Kirstie Alley and I really had a meltdown. I
frantically searched for someone who could work some magic only to find a lady
from the church who was willing to squeeze me in and make it happen. PRAISE THE
LORD for Myrna! My dress was ready Friday night..the day before the wedding.
Nothing like last minute eh!? Wedding was incredible and beautiful. I do
however want to retire from being in weddings. I would like my own someday you
know...I think. Either way...I just hate wearing tight dresses, walking down
the isle and having all those people stare, and then standing there in the
spotlights that usually make everyone look terrible as they point out every
flaw in your bare skin..even more awesome. I have just a few friends left that
need to tie the knot...let's hope they don't ask me..although, as popular as I
am..it might be inescapable :) As they say...Another one bites the dust...
