Well, it's here..we have all been anticipating and betting when the first
snowfall would hit A-town. According to the locals, it's always here by
Halloween. We got a little extra time this year and honestly, we had an
incredible summer too. It's been a crazy year. 85 degree summer and now no snow
till mid November? So, I myself have been dreading and eagerly excited for the
snow. First, I am ONLY dreading it due to the fact that driving in it gives me
major white knuckles. These aren't the normal white knuckles I usually talk
about..these are LITERAL white knuckles. Last year when I first got up here, I
was drove like 6 mph for the first 4-5 weeks of winter. I was
T-E-R-R-I-F-I-E-D. By the end of winter, I was a pro. Well, now I have had 7
months of no ice and snow and I figured I'd be the same again..at first. Today,
it was like riding an old bike. I wasn't afraid at all! Put my truck in 4 wheel
drive and you woulda thought I was a native to AK. Anyway, it's cold,
snowy...but pretty. Let the skiing and snow sports begin!
